Sunday, November 11, day 49

Miss Emma had a fairly good day yesterday and today. One thing I have learned is that Emma writes her own book. She is definitely in charge, so to speak. She was able to pull some fluid off with her PD. Actually, PD is going quite well.

If Emma can pull through being sick, the main issue is that she is basically out of access points. For Emma to be eligible for a transplant, she has to have a viable blood source for it to tie into. They traditionally use the femoral arteries. Her only access point at this time is a picc line that is in her left femoral artery. It seems all of the other access points have lost viability. If the line in her leg quits working, right now there is no other way to give her medicine, fluids etc. Please pray for the integrity of that artery and that the clots preventing other access locations from being viable would dissolve and those locations would be miraculously healed.

Miss Emma is in a very delicate state. The challenges in front of us are huge. I know our God is big. He can do anything and He is surely in control.

Maddie continues to ask about her baby sister all of the time. I am going to work towards getting in some regularly scheduled visits for Maddie to come see Emma.

On Friday, I had no song, my heart was heavy and quiet. Getting news like that is always harder than hard to hear. We know the odds are stacked against us, but really, when is anything easy?
Saturday I was encouraged by these words from “Thou, oh Lord”

Many are they increased that troubled me
Many are they that rise up against me

But thou, oh Lord are a shield for me
My glory and the lifter of my head
Thou, oh Lord are a shield for me
My glory and the lifter of my head

I cried unto the Lord with my voice
And he heard me out of his holy hill…… …..For the Lord sustained, for He sustained me.

And today:

Jesus, something special supernatural about your name
Jesus, something happens when I mention your name
Demons have to flee when I say Jesus
Sickness has to heal when I say Jesus
Every knee shall bow before
and every tongue proclaim
With worthy praise that matchless name of Jesus.

When I call upon your name
The very atmosphere will have to change
We’ll be transformed
We’ll never be the same
By the power of Your Holy name.

I am not sure why the songs from choir are mainly the ones that come to my mind. It must be more than mere familiarity. I do know that it is the Lord’s provision for me at this time in my life.
